5th Grade & Up

  • Join us every other Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in the Youth Room for fellowship, fun, and meaningful connections. 

    Join us - No registration is necessary to participate!

    Pre-teens have a lot of questions about faith and life.  Our Pre-Confirmation Class is designed to engage those questions in a fun and interactive way.

    The Bethesda Confirmation Class is open to all current 8th grade youth. 

    Each week we will discuss a topic from the Episcopal faith, meet Bethesda parishioners who are active members of various Sunday ministries, and play fun learning games to tie everything together. 

    Participants are invited to be confirmed at the next bishop’s visitation in May.

Confirmations

“Confirmation is the rite in which we express a mature commitment to Christ, and receive strength from the Holy Spirit through prayer and the laying on of hands by a bishop.” (The Book of Common Prayer, Catechism, page 860)

Each year, Bethesda offers a course of preparation for youth in grade 8 or higher and another course for adults who wish to be confirmed.
