LENTEN OFFERINGS

LENTEN OFFERINGS

One of the great joys of the season of Lent is the opportunity to deepen your relationship with Jesus. Here at Bethesda, we have a number of offerings to help you do just that. We encourage you to pick one (or several) and dive in!

Lent is the perfect time to rededicate yourself to regular worship at 8:00, 9:00 or 11:00 a.m. This weekly renewal of faith is what we do as Christians. Whether you join us in person or online, make Sunday worship a priority this season.

Sunday Worship

Join fellow parishioners each Sunday of Lent at 10:00 am in the Guild Room to learn and be inspired together.

Sunday Forum

Join us in the choir pews for this brief (15 minutes), informal prayer service at 8:30 a.m. Tuesdays through Fridays.

Morning Prayer

Wednesday Eucharist
& Lenten Lunches

Attend our 12:05 p.m. communion service held in the chapel. This service lasts about 30 minutes and is followed by an optional soup and salad lunch ($5 donation).

This online Lenten devotion, started by our rector in 2010, is a fun, bracket-based way to learn about and be inspired by the lives of the saints. To participate, visit lentmadness.org.

Lent Madness

Episcopal 101 (also known as the Adult Confirmation Class) is an opportunity for adults to learn more about the theology, history, and practices of the Episcopal Church. At the end of the class, participants are eligible for adult baptism, confirmation, or reception. If you’ve ever had questions about our faith that you were afraid to ask, this is a wonderful way to learn more about the values and traditions of the Episcopal Church. To sign up, email rsvp@bbts.org.

Lent Retreat

Join us for a morning Lenten retreat, Created for Connection: Listening to God, led by the Rev. Tara Shepley. Rooted in Jesus’ words, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me” (John 10:27), this retreat invites participants into a deeper awareness of God’s presence and guidance. Through teaching, guided prayer practices, quiet reflection, and small group sharing, we will explore what it means to be created for connection and friendship with Christ.

Light breakfast refreshments will be available beginning at 8:30 a.m. Please bring a journal and pen. Visit bbts.org/lent-retreat to register.
