100 Years of Bethesda's Cornerstone

Dear Friends,

In just a few short days, we will celebrate a truly special moment in Bethesda’s history—the 100th anniversary of the laying of our church’s cornerstone. On Sunday, March 16, following the 11:00 a.m. service, we will gather on the lawn for a brief ceremony with music, prayer, and fellowship as we honor this milestone.

When I think about the cornerstone laid a century ago at the corner of South County Road and Barton Avenue, I’m reminded of how Bethesda-by-the-Sea has been a bedrock of faith in this community for generations. Whether you’ve worshipped here, attended a wedding or funeral, or experienced the beauty of a concert within these walls, Bethesda has long been a spiritual landmark in Palm Beach.

Scripture tells us that Jesus Christ is the “chief cornerstone” of our faith. That’s why this anniversary matters—not just as a historic moment, but as a reflection of our continued call to love and serve the Lord through this sacred place.

I invite you to join us this Sunday as we give thanks for the generations before us and look forward to the future of Bethesda.

Peace,

Tim+
