Bethesda’s Advent Retreat

Reimaging our Relationships with Christ, each other, and our own souls

We are pleased to announce that our guest this year will be the Rev. Gary Jones. Gary will lead the Advent retreat on Saturday, December 4 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.. He will remain to be the preacher on Sunday, December 5 at 8:00, 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. services and will teach in the Forum at 9:45 a.m.

Advent, the beginning of a new church year, is a perfect time to embark on such a spiritual journey home – to your soul, to your true life, to the Christ who has always been with you, even though at times you have been far from yourself.

This year’s Advent Retreat will include plenary presentations, ancient prayer practices, and small group discussion, as we ponder themes of awakening and return, in the context of our sometimes overwhelming and over-busy lives that sometimes seem to keep us in a distant land far from Christ and our true self.

$20 suggested donation. Includes lunch.
