Do you have one ounce of energy to spare and feel the need to help a family earn their won home? Habitat for Humanity is an ecumenical Christian housing ministry. It is an international ministry that seeks to eliminate homelessness in the world. Through the use of volunteers they have built over 175,000 homes around the world helping more than 750,000 people since 1976. Habitat for Humanity collects donations of money, material and labor. They build new homes and rehabilitate old homes. If you can swing a hammer, paintbrush or a pair of scissors you have what it takes to help on a project. Work ranges from managing the tools, signing in volunteers, landscaping, construction, painting, and helping professional contractors as the walls go up.

Habitat for Humanity isn't just about building houses, it's also about tearing down walls in the community and building bridges between people. It's about serving God by serving others. Lets talk. This is one of several activities we would like to make this year. Bring your ideas to the Sunday Young Adult Forum and lets talk.
