St. Mary’s Guild at Bethesda-by-the-Sea was founded December 4, 1949 by Mrs. Miriam B. Graham. One of the past Presidents was Ruth O’Connor who became President in 1984 and served 6 years and is still seen attending occasional meetings.

Presently, meetings are held monthly on the first Monday of the month at 10:30 a.m., November through May in the Guild Room. The business meeting is followed by the scheduled speaker and a luncheon is provided. There have been programs of interest regarding spiritual, cultural, or charitable topics. Occasional field trips are made to related places of interest. A Valentine Bridge Luncheon is held annually as the major fund raiser.

Membership presently runs about 50 (plus or minus) members. The membership fee is $20 annually. New members and guests are welcomed at any time.
