Throughout the year, we plan special events and programs with our children and youth in mind. Below is a current list of scheduled and on-going programs for the up-coming year.
Advent Wreath Workshop
To help prepare ourselves for the Coming of Christ, we set aside the first Sunday of Advent to make Advent Wreaths for our homes. We supply the greens, candles, treats, and music while your family creates a centerpiece to take home in preparation for Advent and Christmas.
The Christmas Drama
The Annual Christmas Drama is offered at the 4:00 pm. service on Christmas Eve. Children of all ages are invited to participate as angels, shepherds and more, as we re-tell the glorious story of Jesus’ birth. For more information, please contact Lynn Rundberg.
Easter Egg Hunt
Easter Festivities will follow the 7:30 a.m. service on Easter Sunday. Children ages 3 - 10 years old will enjoy an Easter Egg Hunt and a butterfly release. Prizes and fun for all!
Boar’s Head Festival
Held annually on the Sunday closest to The Epiphany, the Boar’s Head Festival is open to children of all ages. Performing as sprites, pages, jesters, shepherds, huntsmen, and baby Jesus, this breathtaking, church-wide production offers our children a wonderful opportunity not only to have fun, but to share in the rich history of Bethesda! For more information go to our Boar’s Head or contact Beth Cole at 561-844-3745
Annual Church School Picnic
Each spring, our Church School Family - our children, youth, parents, and volunteers - gather at the beach for a relaxing, fun-filled, picnic in the sun. There’s no agenda; just come, kick-off your shoes, and enjoy good food, good friends, and a beautiful evening at the beach.
Recognition Sunday
Every year, as the season concludes, we acknowledge the students, teachers, and other volunteers, who have participated in the Church School during the preceding year. Join us for this wonderful day to see what our youngest members have been doing throughout the year, and to thank our loyal volunteers.
