Bethesda by the Sea - Header
Grace to you and peace from God our Father
and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Lay Eucharistic Ministers (also known as Eucharistic Visitors) are specially trained and licensed to take Holy Communion from a celebration of the Eucharist at Bethesda to those who are unable to attend church themselves. Every Sunday several LEMs can be seen, carrying portable communion kits, walking out with the procession at the end of the service, symbolizing that the Eucharist is being carried out from the gathered community to the scattered community-- those who cannot be present, but who are nontheless, members of the Bethesda Christian family.

Deacon Clay Waddell is the supervisors of those who are engaged in this important ministry. If you are interested in becoming an LEM, contact him, or with the Rector, Fr. Warren.
