Bethesda by the Sea - Cursillo Header
What is Cursillo?

Cursillo, (a Spanish word meaning "a short course") is a movement of the church. The purpose is to help those in the church understand their individual callings to be Christian Leaders.

The meaning of the "short course" is two fold in that besides being a Three Day Weekend course, it is also known as a running course or track to living as Christian witnesses.

The Cursillo method starts, however, with the Fourth Day. This is when what was learned over the weekend is put into action. Cursillo is a tool for "equipping the saints for the work of ministry" to take active, though nominal Christian men and women who want to serve the Lord in an intentional way and showing them how. There is an active community of parishioners from Bethesda who have attended who are known as Cursillistas.
