Grades 1 - 5 meet upstairs in the Church School on Sundays from 10:10 a.m. - 10:50 a.m. They will experience Godly Play, a practical and innovative approach to religious education that strives to assist children to develop spiritually by experiencing God in the midst of play. Children learn how to "wonder" in religious education rather than merely repeating religious language. They are guided to choose their own work as a personal response to their experience, and learn to work together in community by supporting and respecting each other and their environment. Classrooms are designed so that materials are easily accessible. Manipulatives are used to tell sacred stories. In this uncluttered and unhurried setting, children can experience the stories presented.
