Adult Education Courses Book Group Sunday Forums

The Mission of Adult Christian Formation at Bethesda-by-the-Sea is to assist adults in becoming more fully formed as Christians for the 21st Century. The programs foster spiritual growth and encourage adults to examine and deepen their understanding of the Christian Faith by providing informative, thoughtful and stimulating programs that reflect a variety of approaches.

The Adult Christian Formation Program includes courses offered in the afternoons and evenings on topics such as the Bible, the Episcopal Church and being an Episcopalian, Church History, Theology, book discussions, the Education for Ministry Program, and other topics.

Sunday mornings, from September through May, Adult Forums are offered from 10:10 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. Adult Forums include the Rector's Forum which provides an opportunity to learn about and discuss topics of interest relating to Bethesda and being an Episcopalian. The Topical Forum offers presentations and discussions on the Bible; moral issues; theological concerns; the relationship of Faith, science, and technology; health and wellness; issues facing The Episcopal Church and the Anglican Communion; outreach activities by groups at Bethesda; opportunities for service at Bethesda and in the broader community; and other topics.
